ICG Fact Sheet

-Look for upcoming announcements about the ICG variety program and which varieties will be recognized by ICG. ICG currently recognizes more than 60 different references, including all “Redbook Varieties,” all Fivaz/Stanton designations, the “Top 100” and “Hot 50” VAM varieties, including first reported VAM discoveries, and Snow Numbers.

-Collectors can now have their coin collection pedigreed in their own name.

-ICG will never hold coins once they have been graded and encapsulated. Upon completion of the grading process, your coins will be returned immediately to you regardless of the tier of service you have selected. If ICG finishes your 15-day order in 4 days, we will immediately return the coins to you.

-One-Day submissions received by noon will be ready the next day by 5pm.

-Coins must be received by noon to qualify for ICG’s turnaround times. If the coins are received after 12 o’clock noon, they will be considered received on the next day. Coins will be shipped or ready for pickup no later than 5pm on the day they are due to you. Please refer to the Terms and Procedures on the back of your submission form.

-ICG grades all US and Canadian coins, EVERYTHING in “The Red Book,” U.S. territorial and private mints. Roman silver and all world coins (post 1600 to date), error coins, U.S. medals, and U.S. tokens. “If it is a coin, ICG can certify it.” (The only exception is for coins that will not fit inside the ICG holder)

-ICG has an established permanent grading set in order to keep our standard consistent and our product of the highest quality.

-All submissions should be sent on a standard ICG submission form. New invoice numbers will be issued for each order as it is processed. This is to avoid the situation where ICG might know the collector or dealer that has a certain sequence of invoice numbers.

-ICG will accept coins in the ICG holder for regrading. ICG will accept these coins for review for a higher grade, but will not downgrade the coins unless submitted under the ICG Quality Control Resubmission Program.

-Please check the ICG guarantee for terms and conditions of the ICG Quality Control Resubmission Program.

-ICG will only have well trained professionals handling your coin orders. Please refer to ICG’s Terms and Procedures on the back of every submission form for more information on the handling and protecting of your coins.

-All coins sent to ICG will be insured when in ICG’s possession. Submitters must send coins under their own insurance policy, as ICG’s insurance will not start until the coins are received at ICG.

We recommend sending your coins insured and registered through the United States Post Office.

-Please write or call for prescreen prices on orders of 100 coins, or more.

-At this time, ICG does not offer a glossy photo presentation option, but look for such a program in the future.
